How long does it take to receive a quote?
1-2 business days.
My piano is over 20 year old, is it insured?
Yes we insure all of our customer pianos for today's market value in the event of a total loss.( We do not cover any pre existing issue that may get worse during transport) Ex: A chip in the wood that gets bigger or paint chipping off in different areas.
How long does it take to transport my piano cross country?
Approximately 30-75 days from the date Walter Piano Transport picks up the piano. (Although we do not guarantee any dates or times for pickup or delivery due to unknown factors, weather or circumstances beyond our control.)
Why does it take so long?
We transport hundreds of pianos weekly across the country.
How do I pay ?
Do I put a deposit down to pay half now and the other half at delivery? -You can pay with a credit via the link we provided on the invoice or you can mail a check as well as call into our office and we can take payment over the phone -Payment is due in full before the piano reaches your destination state. We do not take any down payments.
Can I put music, clothes or household items inside my piano bench?
NO (If the bench opens it could cause damage to other units during transport that you will be responsible for).
How is my piano transported?
Grands are transported on their side. Upright are transported upright.
Do you crate?
No we blanket wrapped all pianos with a minimum of 7 blankets. The piano will stay on our equipment the entire time during transport.
Can you transport my sheet music or my piano cover?
Yes if it's boxed and tagged extremely well for an additional cost.
How many times do you move the piano ?
4-5 times depending on which part of the state you're in and if the piano will need to be transferred to a truck going to your specific location (pick mover, Walter piano truck, maybe destination truck, then to deliver mover, and into your home.
Can I pay more to expedite the piano transport ?
No we transport pianos as quickly and safely as we can.
Are your movers professional piano movers or furniture movers?
Our movers are professional piano movers who specialize in transporting pianos.
Can I tip the movers and how much?
Yes what you feel comfortable giving.
What happens if my piano is damaged?
If we have caused damage to any piano we are transporting we will have it repaired professionally.
Do you transport household items?
No we do not transport any household items or furniture we only transport Pianos, Organs and Harpsichords.
